A Gallery of Our Refinished Furniture

Refinishing Furniture is a painstaking endeavor, done with loving hands, that enjoy the feeling that comes from bringing some old and wonderful treasure to life again.

Antique restoration needs a special know how so that your treasured furniture won't be ruined. Here are some of the steps we go through to assure that your furniture is restored properly.

First we carefully strip off all of the old finish, remove any watermarks, oil stains or other types of discoloration to the wood, make sure all of the stripping medium is removed then we can safely apply a new stain on the wood, and ultimately apply one or more finishing coats.

There are varying degrees of restoration, depending on what you want and what the condition of your furniture demands.

Sometimes a minimum of restoration is all that is needed, as one wants to preserve even the distresses of age as an historical element. Sometimes an antique needs a greater level of care to ensure that it will last.

These are all things we discuss with you before beginning your restoration project.
